"Take a look at Claudine Beckford's work at the CIO-G6 and how her perspective is helping prepare the Army's workforce to meet its strategic goals."

In the November 2012 edition of SNVC's company newsletter, Dr. Beckford was featured in the 'From the Front Lines' SIGACT (Significant Activity) spotlight for her role as a Senior Human Capital Analyst supporting U.S. Army Headquarters at the Career Program Management Division of the Chief Information Office/G-6 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

The spotlight highlighted her work overseeing the development of career road maps and master training plans for Senior Human Capital Analysts in the Information Technology Management Career Program 34 (CP-34), which supported competency and readiness management for more than 13,000 civilian employees through training, education, and development opportunities.

The article highlighted Dr. Beckford's post-survey analysis and summary of the 2011 Army Information Technology Workforce Capability Assessment (ITWCA) for the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Occupation Series 2210 and 0391, work that shaped master training plans and professional development opportunities for the Army's civilian workforce.

Strategic Significance: The SNVC newsletter editorial framed Dr. Beckford's contribution as exemplifying two critical workforce planning needs: (1) aligning an organization's human capital program with its current and emerging mission and programmatic goals, and (2) developing long-term strategies to acquire, develop, and retain staff to achieve those goals.
